Categories

DatsoGallery categories are managed with a dedicated category form and nested parent field. Use categories for the public gallery hierarchy and keep aliases stable once menu links or indexed URLs exist.

Recommended practice

• Use clear titles and short aliases.
• Keep hierarchy shallow enough for users to browse.
• Review language, access, published state, and metadata before publishing.
• Use menu items for important public category entry points.
• Avoid deleting categories that already have indexed image URLs unless redirects are planned.
